Blackdove, the digital art gallery brand, has introduced a comprehensive portfolio of solutions for incorporating digital art into custom integration projects.

Blackdove’s system includes a hardware media player, specially designed displays, a monitoring and management application, and a digital artwork subscription service. The company enables instant delivery of any digital artwork to any display in the world, with NFT blockchain registration and end-to-end encryption.

Blackdove offers a new opportunity for custom integrators

Luxury customers are constantly looking for new design elements that will make their spaces stand out. Blackdove is repositioning screens as digital art installations. No longer at odds with the aesthetics of a luxury space, large screens and video walls become a central design element with the implementation of Blackdove.

In addition, the company has established partnerships with well-known industry players such as Crestron, Savant and Control4. A digital art gallery can be thoughtfully integrated into the overall smart home system, and controlling the digital art gallery as part of a client’s existing smart home system is straightforward.

The Blackdove curatorial team provide the artistic expertise required for any application. Once a dealer specifies Blackdove in a project, Blackdove art consultants can work directly with the client, design partners, or client representative to select the correct digital art at no additional cost to the dealer or customer. .

AHT Global, for example, recently undertook a major upgrade for a customer in Miami that included adding Blackdove and updating Crestron. According to the custom integrator, the installation went seamlessly and quickly, with the company working with the client to select the video art they liked very much.

Two simple integration options

The Blackdove Art Server allows any display to connect to the Blackdove Digital Art Gallery. This slim device can be mounted in a rack or behind a display and can connect to the Blackdove cloud via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

The art server has a single 4K 60Hz HDMI output and an SSD drive for local caching of client art collections. For large scale applications, Blackdove can create custom art servers with resolutions up to 26K. The Art Server comes pre-loaded with company software.

“For our sixth installation with Blackdove, we used a Blackdove art server to stream video art via Savant’s VOIP to multiple screens in a client’s apartment, including the B&O Harmony and the Samsung Frame. Said Ken Johnson, owner of Premiere Systems, which is part of the Alliance of Integrators. “The client has given us rave reviews for how he and his guests like to see art on the screens in his residence.”

Customers looking for a display specifically designed for digital artwork can opt for a Blackdove Digital Canvas, a high-definition commercial display screen with a built-in Blackdove Art Server. Available in a range of sizes up to 98 inches, each Blackdove digital canvas is designed for continuous operation and can be hung in portrait or landscape orientation.

Installing a Blackdove Art Server or Digital Canvas typically takes 15 minutes or less. The company’s remote integration team is available to connect and help the on-site reseller complete system setup if needed.

Blackdove app and subscription

Customers manage and control their collections through the company’s web portal and app, available for iOS and Android, or through integration with the Crestron, Control4 or Savant home control system.

The subscription library spins continuously as new artists and artwork are added. Subscribers can purchase NFTs granting them the permanent right to display their favorite coins. Limited Edition Coins and One-Time Commissions are also available for purchase as NFTs. Customers can also upload private digital artwork to Blackdove, taking advantage of the advanced management system for their entire collection.

Subscriptions start at $ 99 / month. Dealers receive a share of subscription service revenue over the life of the system.
