“Chorki began their journey in July, and we were showered with love and appreciation in a short time,” said Chorki Director and COO Redoan Rony. “I want to thank my team and all the associates who have worked hard to produce good quality content.”
“This award is special because it recognizes my first web movie and one of my favorite projects,” said “Networker Baire” director Mizanur Rahman Aryan. “This movie was one of my toughest projects to date, as I had to work with a great cast. Luckily, I was able to make it work thanks to my wonderful crew and crew members.”

Tasnia Farin, who ventured onto OTT platforms last year, was thrilled. “Winning an award is a huge responsibility and I really hope I can live up to the expectations of the audience,” she added. In addition to winning Best Rising Star for her debut short, “Tithir Oshukh” on Chorki, she also won Best Actress in a Web Series for Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s “Ladies & Gentlemen,” on EEZ5 Global.
“I just heard the news this morning and I’m really speechless,” said ‘Unoloukik’ director Robiul Alam Robi. “This series was quite unusual compared to other projects. It had an experimental storytelling, which suited the audience well.”
“Khachar Bhitor Ochin Pakhi” was director Raihan Rafi’s dream project. “I thank Chorki for believing in me. To receive three awards (best actor, best actress and best film) is definitely something beyond our expectations.” While receiving the award, Faridur Reza Sagar and Sykh Seraj told Rafi that they watched the film many times and were really impressed with it.
“At the start, we were enthusiastic about the script, it was strong,” says Fazlur Rahman Babu. “Working in ‘Khachar Bhitor Ochin Pakhi’ was challenging in every way, from filming in a real location to execution. Getting awards always inspires artists to do better work, and I’m also thrilled with this achievement.”
Redoan Rony told the Daily Star that he wants to make Chorki the “capital” of Bengali OTT content, and it looks like they are on the right track.
