Founded in 2009, the Chinese company Hanglory is a newcomer to digital press manufacturing. The company launched digital single-pass sheetfed presses for corrugated board in 2016 and a year later established Hanglory USA, Inc., in Atlanta to provide industrial digital printing solutions in the Americas. . Its presses are equipped with piezo inkjet print heads of Kyocera and use water-based inks.
Hanglory press facilities are more plentiful in Asia than elsewhere, according to marketing manager John Ingraham, but two presses are operating in the United States. A clearly enthusiastic user of Hanglory technology is Taizhou Forest Printing & Packaging Co., Ltd. This Chinese supplier of paper packaging has many conventional offset and flexo presses, most of them from major European suppliers. It began commercial production on a Hanglory Glory 1604 digital press in September 2017 and now also operates three Glory 2504 digital presses.
Both presses have the same rated speed of 492 fpm. The 1604 is 1.6m and the 2504 is 2.5m wide. The 1604 is primarily intended for coated cartons, although it also handles uncoated ones. The 2504 is mainly intended for uncoated cardboard, in addition it has an integrated slotter and a hole cutter (to cut the handles in the case).
“We bought these digital presses because the local market demand for personalized small-run packaging is strong and growing,” says Lin Qiqun, owner of Forest Printing & Packaging. demand, low or no minimum order requirements – meet the needs of these businesses perfectly. “
