First-ever Digital Art Fair Asia arrives in Hong Kong



Taking place October 3-17 at Topshop’s former flagship location in Hong Kong, the Digital Art Fair Asia (DAFA) will be Asia’s first physical art fair that focuses on contemporary art with technology from cutting edge, new media art, NFT Crypto Art and immersive art experiences. The two-week exhibition will feature works of art – both in physical and virtual format – by more than 40 international and local artists.

There are five areas at the art fair, including the Immersive area, which will feature works by Turkish-American new media artist Refik Anadol and Krista Kim, Toronto-based artist and creator of the first “NFT Virtual Home”; as well as the Prestige area, where there will be a showcase of world-class new media and NFT contemporary art collections.

More at Pioneer area, a space co-hosted by photographer and digital artist, Derry Ainsworth, and urban art specialist Hannah Smith, visitors can expect to see works by Sean Foley, SurrealHK (Tommy Fung), Szabotage, and Moreover. In the new media area, works by sound artist NFT and Chinese hip hop “godfather” MC Yan; Henry Chu, Hong Kong’s greatest digital artist; and Victor Wong, the creator of the world’s first artificial intelligence ink artist AI Gemini, will be featured.

THElast but not least, the Virtual Reality Art Experience Zone will present the VR art museum dslcollection, the first virtual art museum created in 2005 by Parisian collectors Sylvian and Dominique Lévy.

In addition to NFT and digital art, an extensive lecture program will also be available. Visitors will be able to interact with leading voices in the industry and share ideas on everything from tips on collecting digital art and NFT to learning how to create art in virtual reality.
