Glasgow School of Art Digital Design Studio having an AR showcase – VRFocus


If you read VRFocus Regularly then you will notice the popularity of independent one-day events that bring together local virtual reality (VR) companies and enthusiasts to discuss and demonstrate the technology. Now the Glasgow School of Art Digital Design Studio is holding a similar exhibition later this month.

As part of the Glasgow School of Art Graduate Degree Show, the Digital Design Studio is organizing a showcase of 3D sound and augmented reality. An exhibition of innovative installations created at the Sound Laboratory and the 3D Visualization Laboratory. This unique exhibition will feature new student work on the MDes in Sound for the Moving Image and MSc in Serious Games and Virtual Reality courses. The Digital Design Studio facilities include one of Europe’s largest lab spaces for VR, immersive stereo viewing, and high-resolution displays.

The exhibition will take place at The Hub, Pacific Quay, Glasgow, G51 1EA, on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, from 6.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. GMT. The event is free, but those who wish to attend will need to register with the Glasgow School of Art digital design studios, Eventbrite page.
