Enrolled students will have access to state-of-the-art production equipment at LIU as well as prestigious professors, qualified professional mentors and acclaimed guest speakers. In the final year, students will be equipped with the experience and resources necessary for their senior Capstone project – the creation of a feature film.
First-year students will be tasked with studying pre-production and creation of short films, while second-year students will be asked to focus on cinematography and various film formats. During the junior year, students will be responsible for the production of a documentary. The goal is for students to master a different skill set that contributes to the making of high quality films throughout each academic year.
