the Victoria and Albert Museum search a Curator of Digital Design to join the Design, Architecture and Digital department. This is an exciting opportunity to define a new approach to collecting and exhibiting digital design for the V&A, as well as taking responsibility for the maintenance, research, display and interpretation of the Museum’s digital design collections.

The incumbent should have strong digital design contacts and be able to bring design communities together to think about how the V&A should represent them in its collections in the future. They must also have high levels of literacy with digital design techniques and platforms and clear ideas on how to collect, preserve and display digital artifacts.

This exciting position will see the post holder working closely with colleagues from DAD and other departments including Exhibitions, Research, Curatorial and Collections Management. The Digital Design Curator will primarily collect the most important design work in the digital realm and be a constant source of ideas for exhibitions, events, publications, in print and online, commissions and other programs . They will also be involved in a wide range of onsite and offsite museum projects.
